• Here's a fun fact you probably didn't know -- Canadian judicial appointments are among the most corrupt in the entire world.

  
  

  That's the opinion of the human rights watchdog group Global Integrity, at least, who gave the integrity of Canada's judicial appointments a pitiful 32 out of 100 in their 2010 survey on good governance around the globe.

  
  

  On whether there's "a transparent procedure for selecting national-level judges" Canada received a flat "no." Our rating on whether "judges are appointed fairly" received an astonishing 17. Angola got 25. Hell, Bangladesh got 83...........

Everyone (men & women) that can relate to this status, needs the support of family, friends, professionals (counselors, doctors, politicians....) although no one can totally understand the feelings of despair, failure, hopelessness, disbelief, defeat, loss, grief, being overwhelmed, frustration, suicidal; those that live it everyday need answers that no one seems to have. It takes immeasurable strength, energy and supports just to survive each and every day. The "Divorce/ Family Law Industry" is for the benefit of the industry and takes no prisoners, it is not as simple as 50/50 as many would believe, it is brutal, destroying and very dangerous. Please reach out and support those around you that are being " Destroyed by the Corrupt System" and help in any way you can...you may just be the key to someones survival.

Ok, that's it. I've reached my limit. Period. I can't take the injustice and evil anymore. I don't think anything anyone says at this point will help. All of the ongoing abuse has gotten the best of me. I still can't reach the ladder to climb out of the well in order to help myself and now it has only gotten worse. I need physical/tangible help, not just words. I did a good job hiding my pain over the Thanksgiving holiday (besides sleeping in a lot), but now I'm in worse shape. I didn't eat all day today. I feel like I'm screaming and nobody hears a sound. I don't know what to do. Most people will ignore this post because it is too much to handle. I keep telling my parents I'm not ok, but they don't understand. "Just snap out of it". Well, I can't. I'm done.

Abusers diminish legitimate male issues

I admit to saying this with trepidation. Often, looking at my gender through anything other than a purely critical lens can be a dicey proposition. But the reality is that male stereotyping is prevalent in our society. Consequently, the real problems men have are sometimes diminished.

On Monday, the Canadian Centre for Men and Families opens in Toronto. It’s being billed as the first national home for dealing with many of the larger problems facing men, such as increasing suicide rates and declining university enrolment rates. The centre will assist male victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, offer mentorship to boys considered to be at risk and support fathers battling a family law system many perceive as favouring mothers.

“We’re not competing for victim status,” director Justin Trottier says. “This is more about raising awareness that many issues we tend to think about as women’s issues affect both men and women.”
