i know the feeling my son and his ex share a wonderful 3 year old that i am being told i can't see anymore ... this child is being played by both my son and his ex ... one is threatening that if the other does not do things their way they won't see the boy ... they have done this to me for 3 years now but who is there to protect that boy ? how do i do something to end this cycle... i am at an age that i could do quite well to take custody of my grandson and raise him myself ... what support do i have with our family law ? and what are my grandson's rights ?
I am new to the system, however it occurs to me that the Office of the Children's Lawyer may help. They speak for the child's rights, and when they are old enough (12, I think), their wishes.
